Good morning, everyone,
Respected Principal, teachers, esteemed guests, and my dear friends,

It is my greatest honor to address each one of you today on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India as we gather to celebrate it in unison. This day is very dear to our hearts, and the reason for that is that on January 26, 1950, India took its first steps toward independence and democracy with the adoption of its own Constitution. India became a sovereign, democratic republic.

This time we are honoring the fighters who gave up their lives for the cause of freedom and showed the way for the others to walk the road of freedom. Their determination and strength became the base to a country established with the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The genesis of our Constitution was not a silver line in the sky. Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the chairman of the drafting team, and other eminent persons had to perform amazing hectic schedule to prepare a document that could be a lifeline to our democracy. In the present time, our Constitution is not merely a law decree; it is also a token of our unity in midst of diversity, wherein we guarantee that every citizen has the same rights and prospects without their religion, caste, profession, gender cultural, and linguistic background getting in the way.

1/26/1950 is the day set aside to remember the Constitution of India that was enforced and became alive, thus leading to the replacement of the Government of India Act of 1935. This was the time that moved India from a monarchy ruled by a king to a democratic nation, allowing the people to choose their own leaders. It is the day when we celebrate the values of freedom, equality, and justice that are the foundation of our Constitution.

The drafting of our Constitution was a monumental task that required immense foresight, wisdom, and dedication. It was only feasible under the guidance of the visionaries like Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Rajendra Prasad, and the leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Thus, the Constitution was meticulously created in the capable hands of these visionary feather-brained men to ensure that it protected the rights of every citizen while maintaining the unity and integrity of the nation.

Later in the day, when we bring up the tricolour and recite the national anthem, we recall the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters who yearned for a free and a unified India. Their aspirations were immense not restricted only to independence but also to creating a nation where everyone was treated equally and had equal opportunities.

In 2025, we are witnessing India’s rise as a global leader in various domains—be it space exploration, digital innovation, sports, or cultural heritage. However, we must not lose sight of the challenges that lie ahead. Social inequality, environmental degradation, and threats to democratic values require our collective attention and action.

Let us strive to eradicate prejudice, foster inclusivity, and work tirelessly to make India a nation that is not only economically prosperous but also morally strong.

On this Republic Day, let us take a pledge to protect the values of our Constitution and work towards a brighter future for our country. Remember, our actions today will determine the destiny of India tomorrow.

With this, I would like to conclude by saluting the visionaries of our past, the heroes of our present, and the hope that lies in each one of us for a better future. Jai Hind!
