Yashasvi Scheme 2025

The AICTE introduced the Yashasvi Scheme . Additionally YASHASVI is ‘Young Acheivers Scholarship and Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative’ Scheme. Furthermore, this initiative aims to provide encourage the students to pursue technical education in areas of engineering and technology.

The YASHASVI Scheme is open to students pursuing courses in engineering like civil, chemical, electrical, electronics and communication, mechanical, agriculture, and textile industries. Additionally, the application deadline is February 15, 2025.

The authorities will award a total of 5,200 scholarships under this scheme annually. Furthermore, they have designated 2,593 scholarships for degree courses and 2,607 scholarships for diploma courses.

YASHASVI Scholarship Scheme 2025: Eligibility

The following section discusses the eligibility criteria for the AICTE YASHASVI Scholarship.

• Firstly, the candidate is enrolled in the first year of degree or diploma course. Additionally the the course is under an AICTE approved institution.
• Secondly, the candidate must be in the second year of the degree or diploma course through lateral entry. Furthermore, the course is under an AICTE approved institution.
• Lastly, the total income of the family from all the sources must be under Rs. 8 lakh per annum in the current financial year. Additionally the candidate should provide a valid income certificate from the State government.

AICTE YASHASVI Scholarship Amount

The official information in the press release states that the degree-level students will receive a scholarship of Rs.50,000  annually for each year. Furthermore, the first-year students will get a scholarship of Rs.50,000   till the fourth year.  And, the lateral entry students will receive the scholarship for three years.

The students in the diploma level will receive scholarship of Rs.30,000 each year during the course. Furthermore, the first year students will receive the amount for three years and the lateral entry students will receive the amount for two years.

YASHASVI Scholarship Apply Online

The eligible candidates have to apply online for the YASHASVI Scholarship before 15th February 2025. Furthermore, the official website to apply online is yashasvi@aicte-india.org. Moreover, the institute will verify all the applications from the candidates. Additionally, the selected students will receive money through Direct Benefit Transfer(DBT). Selection Process for the YASHASVI Scheme

The students at the degree level for the YASHASVI scheme are selected based on the performance of the qualifying exam or 12th grade. Furthermore, 10 percent of the seats available in each state are available on the lateral entry. Additionally, the selection committee chooses candidates based on the average combined percentage of marks from all semesters. If a state has fewer than 10 scholarships, the authorities ensure that at least 10 scholarships are awarded in that state.

Additionally, the selection committee chooses diploma-level students for the YASHASVI Scheme based on their 10th-grade marks. Moreover, if a state has fewer than 10 scholarships, the authorities will ensure that at least 10 scholarships are awarded in that state.  The recipient of the scholarship will receive the payment annually through DBT mode after the selection process.

Yashasvi Scholarship Renewal Process

After completing the renewal process, the authorities will extend the scholarship for the next academic year. Furthermore, the candidate can submit a letter from the head of the institution through the online portal. Additionally, the candidate must submit a passing certificate or grade report. However, the student will lose the scholarship if they do not advance to the next level or class.

Terms and conditions for the YASHASVI Scheme

• There should not be a gap of more than 2 years between the passing qualifying exam and the course enrollment date.
• Furthermore, the student is considered in a general category if he is chosen from the general category even if he is in the reserve category.
• Moreover, the core engineering courses are eligible for the scholarship.
